ABOUT YOGI SHIVAKHANDA

Yogi Shivakhanda is from the foothills of Indian Himalayas. He studied Science of Human Consciousness & Yogic philosophy in the oldest university of the world. His life is devoted for the Cause of promoting Yogic & Vedic culture across the globe and encourage people to take up vegetarianism.
He believes that Yoga is not just about postures and fitness but a very Vast Science, Yoga is not a sport but a way of living, a means of seeing things clearly, in short, a LIFESTYLE. As Bhagavad Gita teaches us “Yoga Karmasu Kaushalam” that is when we perform our tasks with full heart, devotion and sincerity then that is Yoga. What it teaches us is that Yoga is not merely about postures or breathing exercises, it’s much more beyond that. Yoga is not just happening when we are stretching or posing, it can happen all the time, 24 hours. And that’s where a lot of teacher fails, the emphasis is so much on the body that the other aspects, the other diamonds are missed. For the magic to begin, the basic concepts need to be clear.

Also it’s important to not get trapped in the webs of Practice. Practice, Practice & practice more. This we have been taught by everyone. There’s nothing special & new about it. But the TRUTH is not realised by practice but instead by Deeper Understanding of Life. Then what it means by “Understanding”? It means instead of looking outwards, go inwards. Instead of following others, follow your true self. Just because of these simple mistakes the understanding is lacking. Don’t underestimate yourself. Don’t look for BUDDHA to become BUDDHA.
Ultimately our Complete connection with oneself will make everything HEAVENLY.

“May the good thoughts come from every corner of the Universe, may all my good thoughts reach to every corner of the Universe.”

“बुद्धि का अर्जन हम तीन तरीकों से कर सकते हैं: प्रथम, चिंतन से, जो कि उत्तम है; द्वितीय, दूसरों से सीखकर, जो सबसे आसान है; और तृतीय, अनुभव से, जो सबसे कठिन है।”
